The services of the website www.ex-elixis.edu.gr are provided by the sole proprietorship “ex-elixis” (hereby referred to as “Company”) based in the Municipality of Eleftherio – Kordelio – Evosmos Thessaloniki, 9 Eptanisou Street, and in particular by Director of Studies and Head of English Language Curriculum Mr. Anastasios Kopsacheilis and the respective specialized language teachers, with the following terms of use, whom you are invited to read carefully and to attend the online courses or use only other services of the website you fully accept and consent to their implementation. 1.2. The website www.ex-elixis.edu.gr (hereby referred to as “Website”) is the intellectual property of its creator, according to law 2121/1993 “On Intellectual Property”, as it has been amended and is valid today and international conventions signed by Greece. The Company retains the exclusive intellectual property rights in the design and content of the entire website. Any violation of these rights in any way incurs the responsibilities and penalties prescribed by law.

1.3. Any use of the Services of the Website and especially any financial transaction through the website www.ex-elixis.edu.gr and www.ex-elixis.com implies the previous full acceptance of these terms of use by you, which are the only binding agreement between you and the Company. Their acceptance on your part is the place of your signature on a written agreement.

  1. Courses

2.1. The Website provides the possibility of attending group and / or private language courses, as described in the Online Curriculum of the Website through digital class programs (virtual class) selected by the Company. Asynchronous education services in the form of videos or digital books may also be provided.

2.2. To start the courses process, you must contact the Company (by phone, e-mail or the contact form) to join the group courses or agree on private lesson hours. Then it is necessary to submit the student registration form. The use of the services of the Website is allowed only to adults, over eighteen (18) years or to minors after the consent of their parents. During the process of submitting the registration form you will be asked to state that you are an adult or that you have your parent’s consent to conduct the course.

2.3. The submission of the student registration form in which you have filled in your details is a valid declaration of intent. For this reason we recommend that you proceed with it only after you have been fully informed about the course process from the information available in the respective positions of the Website or by contacting us. When submitting the form you must state your true details. It is your responsibility to keep your information up to date and complete. To use the services of the Website you must use a valid e-mail address, in which you will receive a confirmation message of your registration. Receipt of the registration confirmation message is the proof of the conclusion of the service contract with the Company.

2.4. The courses delivered through the Website are aimed at minors, adults and / or businesses and concern the levels of foreign language learning as they are mentioned in the Curriculum. The aim of the courses is the learning of the chosen foreign language to the students, as well as their preparation for the exams of the respective degree, while the way of conducting the course online aims at the faster, more immediate and easier conduct of the courses, as well as and access to students from remote areas.

2.5. To participate in the distance learning courses you must have at your own expense, the following minimum necessary technical equipment: a PC with internet connection and a speed of at least 2Mbps, a headset with a microphone, a web camera, and a scanner (optional). The digital room program is provided free of charge. Also, in order to communicate with the teachers and to join the digital classrooms, a valid e-mail address is required, to which the student has direct and unimpeded access. After each lesson, the material used during the delivery (notes, slides, etc.) will be sent to the student via e-mail and / or will be posted on the online platform of the lessons.

2.6. Each teaching hour lasts forty-five minutes (45 ‘) in the lessons in sections and sixty minutes (60’) in the private lessons. As for the private lessons (of a student) after the agreement for lessons with the Company, they are finalized and cannot be changed or canceled. In exceptional cases, the cancellation of the course is allowed, provided that the respective teacher will be notified up to two (2) hours before the agreed class time and if at the same time its replacement is agreed within the same month. The above cancellation procedure is justified up to a maximum of 2 times per month. In any other case, even if the lesson is not the responsibility of the student, it will be charged normally.

2.7. For the group tutoring courses the Daily Program is followed, as announced by the Company and changes only with the consent of each teacher and the other students who have joined the same department. Each student must attend the courses in which he has joined, according to the Daily Schedule. In case of absence of a student from a course, the respective teacher – responsible for the delivery of this course is NOT obliged to repeat his teaching hours corresponding to the courses that the student did not attend are normally charged. If a course is not held due to the weakness of the respective teacher, these teaching hours will be supplemented in full, as soon as possible, on a date and time that will be co-decided by the teacher and the students who are part of the department. The teaching hours that correspond to each level of foreign language learning are presented in the section of the Curriculum of the Website or are agreed after contacting the respective teacher – program manager.

2.8. Probationary course: Each new student is given the opportunity to attend a first probationary course with the respective teacher, completely free of charge and without any further commitment of the parties. To attend the free trial, the student or their guardian must request it by phone or by filling out the contact form on the Contact page of the Website.

  1. Intellectual property rights

3.1. The Website is in its entirety the intellectual property of the Company. The author reserves the exclusive copyright in the design, visualization, source code, database and all content of the Website (including courses, audiovisual material produced, notes, photographs, drawings, images, graphics, texts , the services provided and in general all the archives of this website). Part of the content of the Website, and especially the images, videos or texts it contains may be the intellectual property of third parties natural and / or legal persons, with the permission of which the Website uses them. Any violation of the rights of these creators in any way incurs the responsibilities and penalties prescribed by law.

3.2. Indicatively and not restrictively, it is forbidden to record, record in any medium and in any way, save, copy, edit, modify, publish, distribute in any way, part or all of the content of the Website, the content of the courses, the image , the sound and / or a combination thereof, the texts, the notes and all the material that is sent and / or posted as an accompaniment to the courses, without the prior explicit permission of the Company. It is also prohibited to copy, edit, or in any way unauthorized use of the Website software.

 

  1. Time and method of payment

4.1 The monthly or annual tuition depending on the level of the foreign language and each teaching hour that takes place have the cost listed on the Website on the day of submission of the student registration form.

4.2 Package fees must be paid in advance, accordingly to the offer that has been provided to the student or their respective guardian(s).

4.4. Confirmation of payment is made after your contact with the Company. After each confirmed payment, a Proof of Service of the Company will be sent by post to the invoicing data stated in the student registration form.

 

 

  1. Right of withdrawal

5.1. Attendance of courses via internet is a contract for the provision of services remotely in accordance with the provisions of Law 2251/1994. Consequently, the contractor has the right to withdraw from the contract unjustifiably within a period of fourteen (14) days, starting from the moment of receipt of the confirmation message of the student registration at the stated e-mail address or the request for activation of any application. and in any case before the provision of the service. The right of withdrawal is exercised by sending a completed statement of withdrawal to the address info@ex-elixis.edu.gr.

5.2. Once part of the service has been provided (e.g. two hours of courses), the fee for the courses already taken is normally due and the withdrawal concerns the remaining – unfulfilled – part of the contract, which is returned to the student.

 

  1. Duration of the contract – Termination of the contract

6.1 Each student enrollment is valid for the period agreed in his enrollment application. As the transactions take place in real time, the binding price is the one with which you made your registration. This price is valid for the current academic year, and in any case for as long as it is listed on the Website. Any change in the cost of the courses after the conclusion of the contract can be made only with the agreement of the parties.

6.2 Each of the parties has the right to terminate the contract in writing at any time. The denunciation shall take effect upon receipt by the Contracting Party and shall take effect for the future. The cost of the courses that may have taken place until the moment of receipt of the complaint, is due in each case.

7.1. The Website may include hyperlinks to other websites, which may be controlled by third parties. In no case does the Company guarantee the validity or correctness of the content of the links it contains, nor that these links will operate uninterruptedly. Furthermore, external links are indicative and not exclusive or restrictive. The Website reserves the right to remove or even add links without any notice to anyone and to change its content at any time.

Any actions of the users made based on the information provided on the Website do not in any case give rise to liability of the Company.

8.3. Given the nature and volume of information on the Internet, under any circumstances, including negligence, the Company is not liable for any kind of damage suffered by the user of the pages, services, options and contents of the Website, which he uses solely on his own initiative and responsibility.

8.4. In any case, the extent of the Company’s liability of the services it provides to the user is limited by mutual agreement of the parties to a maximum of the amount paid by the user.
